Dream Valley Challenge 38 Die Cuts and Punches
Have you been following the Olympics? Isn't it exciting? I do feel sorry for the women running the Marathon today through the rain, but I suppose it's keeping them cool!
It's time for another Dream Valley Challenge and this time it's to use your Punches and Dies. We have 2 fab sponsors:
One Stop Card Crafts is offering a £10 voucher and
and Inked Treasures is offering 4 digis!
So what did I do? I made a Christmas card! I think that's Number 6 - I have another 40 to do!
I kept it quite simple to emphasise the shapes. The image is by Docrafts, and I embossed it in gold. I used my gorgeous new Nesties Labels 5 die. I stencilled with Antique Linen Distress Ink while the card was still in the die, and matted twice, on green and gold card. The gold card is thick enough to be embossed, so it looks as though there are 4 layers here! I think I've shown all the things you can do with a die!
I used a Woodware Holly border punch, also layered on green and gold, and the ribbon and pearls are from stash. The green paper is an ancient piece from Lakeland in the days when they did craft stuff.
The inside is similar, the sentiment is also Docrafts.
I am going to enter this into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge as she wants to see your favourite colour, and green is definitely mine!
ABC Christmas Challenge want the iside of the Christmas card to be decorated, too.
Waste Not Wednesdays always has the theme of using up neglected stash - I've had these stamps for several years and never used them yet!
Clear It Out Challenge has a theme of 'Christmas in July' using something red or green from stash - the paper certainly counts since it's about 5 years old!
And last but not least Pixie's Crafty Snippets Challenge.
Thanks for bearing with me on this long post! Go and have a look at the fab, inventive creations of my teamies on Dream Valley and then have fun with your dies and punches!
Oh look, it's stopped raining!
Have a great week, and thanks for looking!

Thank you for the heads up about kids club, we're hoping to book a few impromptu days away that week but if we don't I know Sophie would love to come as she thoroughly enjoyed herself last year.
