Dream Valley Challenge 7: Dig out the old to use with the new!

Evening, all! So who watched 'Eurovision' last night? I thought it was terrific fun! Well done Azerbaijan!

Okay, it's Dream Valley Challenge fortnight again. My goodness, we had 316 entries last week, and the variety was just amazing! I hadn't realised quite how inspiring it is to be on a DT and travel round blogland seeing all these amazing creations.

On to this fortnight's challenge! It's really a version of 'Anything Goes' with a twist - we're asking for a mix of old stash and new. You can make anything as long as it fits the challenge and if you choose to enter, do tell us which bits are new and which old! The sponsor is:

And the fab Prize
$10.00 Canadian dollars to spend in their shop

I have a birthday coming up for a young teenager, and since I'm giving her a shop voucher (which is a slightly boring present) I thought I'd make a presentation box and tag. I used a Papermania template which I got from Hobbycraft before Christmas - so it's not really new or old, more middle-aged!

The papers are new - at least to me - downloads from Nitwits, called 'Above and Beyond.' It's full of luscious pinks! I glittered the motifs for a bit of bling. The lace is newish, from our local Market. The punch for the flowers and also the gems are definitely old - must be nearly 2 years! The ribbon for the bow at the top is positively ancient, since it came from my cross-stitch box and I haven't used a needle in anger for a loooong time!

The image is new: Disco Tween I love her snazzy hoop earrings! I reversed the colours on the other side of the box, then shrank the image to fit the tag. I think she's just right for a young teen! Also, the shop has freebies from time to time, if you want to try before you buy.

I hope you'll stroll over and peruse my teamies' fab creations!

Have a happy week!

luv, Mags x

Promarkers: Blush, Dusty Pink, Pastel Pink; Ivory; Cocktail Pink, Antique Pink; Leaf Green, Forest Green
