My Time to Craft #363 Transport

Hi guys! I hope your weekend has been good! We have had a visit from my brother and sister-in-law, plus their gorgeous dog! We had a walk down by the river, which was rather muddy, but the sun shone and the skies were blue - it was lovely!

I apologise that I'm late with my post! But at last I'm here to tell you about the new Challenge at My Time to Craft. which is Transport. Any means of transport counts, from bicycles to rockets!

I went with a car from the 'Hre We Go' stamp set from Reverse Confetti which sadly seems to be out of print.

The papers are by My Mind's Eye, but I can't find them! They are somewhere in my craft hovel, which has had a lot of odds'n'ends dumped into it as we were tidying ready for our visitors! Oops!

The gold-embossed sentiment is from the same stamp set, and the ribbon is from stash. I glammed-up the car with a lot of Spectrum Noir sparkle pen!

My teamies have made some great inspiration pieces, as usual - go and see!

Thanks for looking and have a good week!

CRAFT Challenge #452 Distress Your Project/Vintage

Good morning!

We have a great theme at CRAFT Challenge this week: Distress/Vintage.

This fab Art Deco style image is Talk to Myself by Pickled Potpourri. I used some very old black and white paper from my stash and a gorgeous piece of lace from a Crafteezee kit from Noor! Design. I roughed up all the edges with scissors and used Pumice Stone ink to distress them.

The feathers are made with an old stamp which came with a magazine, I gold-embossed and fussy-cut them, then added them with a gold dazzler from Hobbycraft.

Our sponsors this week are:

Pickled Potpourri

and DRS Designs

Have a look at my teamies' creations on the challenge blog, they are gorgeous!

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Dream Valley Challenges #171 Love

Good morning! To cheer up your Monday we have a new Challenge at Dream Valley which is Lurve. With Valentine's Day approaching fast, it's a very topical Challenge!

The sweet image is Emma With Heart Ballon from Paper Nest Dolls. I fussy-cut her so I could put her against a patterned background. All the papers are from the Love Story collection by First Edition. The heart sentiment is also from the paper pad, it reads 'You Make My Heart So Very Happy.'

The lace is from stash, and I added Glossy Accents to the hearts on the image and Spectrum Noir Sparkle to the sentiment heart.

Our sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls.

I'm entering the current Challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this is their fab sketch:

Simon Says Stamp Valentine's Card

Evening, all! I hope you're all having a restful weekend!

I've made a card using items from the January Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

Everything is from the kit apart from the little heart-shaped gem, which is there to cover a smear of glue, and the banner, which is also from SSS, and the heart die.

It's a bit too pink and girly for my Olde Manne, but I'm pleased with it!

I am entering the current Challenge at Stamp Ink Paper because I used their lovely sketch!

I hope you all have a happy week ahead of you!

CRAFT Challenge #451 Love/Valentine

Hi, guys! It's Thursday, ao that means a new CRAFT Challenge. This week our theme is Love or Valentine.

This cutie is Stanley - Valentine's Heart from Crafty Sentiments.

I used a Spellbinders Heart Circle die to cut the mat, and used some of the heart leftovers in pink and kraft to decorate the image. All the hearts have added sparkle.

The papers are from stash, and the gold-embossed sentiment is from an old Simon Says Stamp set that came with a kit.

Our sponsor this week is the fab Crafty Sentiments.

My teamies have left you some sweet inspiration, go and see!

New Baby Boy!

Good afternoon, all! My lovely nephew and neice celebrated the birth of their first baby just before Christmas: a baby boy! He is utterly adorable!

I sent a card:

The image is Looking at my Sweet by Sami Stamps. So elegant! I added some sparkle to the baby blanket.

I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles dies to cut the image and the mat. The sentiment is embossed with Steel blue embossing powder by Simon Says Stamps and the Small Banner die is also from SSS.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you're having a good week!

The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #22 Anything Christmas Goes.

I know, I know, it's only a couple of weeks since we were all preparing for Christmas, and here is our first Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge for 2018! But 'the sooner you start, the sooner you'll finish', as my Mum used to say to me when I was meant to be tidying my room!

I made a very simple card, using a die-set from Tonic Studios which sadly seems to be out of print.

The green background paper has a slight ombre effect. I lined the white die-cuts with circles cut from the same paper to emphasise the details.

The sentiment and holly sprig come from an old stamp set from Clearly Besotted who are having A SALE!!!!

I love how elegant these layering dies look!

Do have a go at the Challenge, you'll feel so pleased with yourself! And don't forget to check out my teamies' gorgeous creations.

You have more time to join in because this Challenge doesn't end until February 4th. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

Dream Valley Challenge #170 Anything Goes!

Good morning! Are you all getting back to the normal routine after the Festive Season? I have been tackling the washing and ironing - talk about coming back to earth with a thump!

And now we have our first Challenge at Dream Valley which is Anything Goes. I made a ridiculous mistake when making my card - more anon!

My first version was this:

All weekend I was puzzling over why it looked wrong, then yesterday I realised - it's all the wrong way round! Cue a lot of careful removing of elements and replacing them correctly! Oh dear, what a palaver!

The cute image is Fairytale Princess from Fabrika Fantasy Stamps. I took the pictures using a daylight lamp, which has made the papers (from an old First Edition pad) look brighter and the image look paler, for some reason. Sorry! The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set called 'You're Pretty Sweet.' The wooden heart and gems are from stash.

We have a lovely new sponsor, Fabrika Fantasy Stamps.

Go and see my teamies' lovely work and join in the fun!

Thanks for looking!

CRAFT Challenge #449 Box or Bag

Happy New Year!

Our first Challenge of 2018 at CRAFT Challenge is to make a Box or Bag.

And here's a sideways view:

I used the new Complete 5 x 7 card and box die set from the Christina Collection at Craftstash. I used one of her trellis dies to cut a pattern in the top side of the box, backed it with acetate, and added Pearl Pen to the intersections. The flowers and leaves are from the same die set.

I used rather thick card, and cutting the trellis was quite difficult, no next time I'll be sure to used thinner card.

The cute image is an old one from Bugaboo Stamps - check out their freebies if you want to 'try before you buy'!

Our sponsors this week:

The Cutting Cafe

and Bugaboo Stamps.

Thanks for looking, and have a good weekend!
