Paper-pieced Willow
Evening, all! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been quite manic here but Ye Olde Manne and I have finally arranged a weekend away in Shropshire to visit our granddaughter. I can't wait!
Unfortunately a good friend hasn't been well, so I've made her a 'cheer you up' card. I was originally going to enter last week's challenge at Whiff of Joy which was for paper piecing, but I was unexpectedly out today and missed the boat.
I used Willow with Sunhat and she's on clearance sale at the mo, so if you like her, get in quick!
I like paper piecing, it can be fiddly, but I find it relaxing when in front of the tv. I used MME papers that were free last year - or maybe the year before? I cut out her dress and hat and then glued the scarf and apron over the top, that's a bit easier than cutting out bits that have to be put together like a jigsaw!
The rest is coloured with Promarkers and the flowers are 'stickled pink'. (lol!)
The ribbon and buckle are from stash. The leaves were cut with a Woodware punch. The flowers are Wild Orchid, I edged the petals with n Antique Pink Promarker and then added some Glamour Dust. The gems in the corners are from stash.
I used a great sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge. I like their sketches very much, they're always fun to follow!
I hope everyone is well and enjoying good weather. It's wonderful to see the sun, everyone was smiling today!
Thanks for looking!
love Mags B x
PS Apologies for the picture, one side is more shadowed than the other!
Promarkers: Gold, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup; Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Pastel Pink(a new combo for skin for me, I think it needs more work); Cocktail Pink, Antique Pink, Lime Green

Hope the weather stays fine for your trip to Shropshire.
Have a great night x
All your posts have gone way down on your blog.
There seems to be loads of space after your sticky post so people may not realise there is anything else on your blog and it would be a shame if they missed seeing this little beauty.
Gorgeous papers and sweet image. I am sure it will have cheered your friend up no-end. Hopefully she feels much better now.
Hope you are having a good week.
