Wedding Card!
Hi, guys! I hope your week is going well. Mine is just.... going! Surely it was Monday yesterday? I know I've been busy with STUFF this last few days, and lots of bags of STUFF have gone down to Oxfam, but I look round my house and it still seems chaotic! I'm sure everyone else has this problem!!
My neighbour's lovely daughter was married recently - the whole family is remarkably good looking, and the bride looked as if she'd just stepped out of the pages of 'Vogue'! So I knew I wanted to do something a little bit special for her.
This card is made with the Spellbinders 'Butterfly Corner' die and is based on one made by the inspiring Christina Griffiths. The video instructions are here
Here is the back:
I used Centura Pearl card throughout. I embossed the front and back pieces with a Spellbinders Butterflies Impressability which shows up better irl. The corner die cuts were all covered in white glitter. The one on the back makes a pocket, which holds a die-cut label with a greeting written on it.
The sparkly organza ribbon is from stash. The transparent resin rose on the knot of the bow, and also the butterfly embellishments, all came free with magazines. I'd been hoarding them for many months lol!
I am so pleased how it all came together! I did a run-through with ordinary card to practise making the base - Christina's instructions are so straightforward that it was quite simple!
Thanks so much for looking! I'm sorry I've been a Bad Blogger recently, there has been a lot going on - nothing exciting, unfortunately (Tom Hiddleston has not yet come to carry me away to Valhalla!) just lots of boring niggly things. But that's just life, ain't it?!!
I hope you're all looking forward to an ace weekend!

I have a few things pulled out to see if my kids want them and if not, off to the thrift shop they go.
Even in the craft room, as I take an item from a drawer or box. I try to look through to see what could go...but I am a bit of a craft hoarder...an organized hoarder but still...yikes!
Your card is so gorgeous! It will be so treasured by the Vogue bride, I am sure! It is so elegant and now I am in love with yet another Spellbinders die!
Gorgeous card hun, just love how you have put it all together & i'm sure it was loved!
