CRAFT Challenge DT #340 Colour Combo Challenge

Hi, guys! I hope you're all well and looking forward to the weekend! Here at the Manor we are having the entire family visiting this weekend for my baby boy's 26th birthday: that's 4 extra adults plus one gorgeous granddaughter! I am busy cleaning and tidying and making sure that delicate possessions are out of the reach of a 4-year-old girl with a very developed sense of curiosity!!

Our CRAFT Challenge this week is a Colour Combo (Jo has such a great eye for colours!)

Isn't that gorgeous?!

I used a lovely ready-coloured image from The Paper Shelter, this is Spring Elves I think they are adorable! I used a ready-coloured image, since what with the Church Crib and Candle Festival last weekend, and also a visit from my sister, time was at a premium.

For the background I used Jo's striped papers, and die-cut it with a Spellbinders 5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four die. On the image I drew lightly round the inside of the die in pencil and cut it out, then distressed the edges lightly with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. The sentiment stamp was loose in my sentiments box so I don't know where it came from, but I think it fits the image!

I made the card base from ivory Centura pearl cardstock, I cut 1 piece to be 5 x 7 inches and another at 5 x 7.5 inches, then scored along the extra half inch section, folded it, and glued it to the smaller front card, to make a side-opening card.

Our sponsors this week are:

Rick St Dennis

and The Paper Shelter

Do go and see my teamies' interpretations of the colour combo, and their fab use of our sponsors' images, and be inspired to join in!

Thanks for looking!

Since today is a little chilly, it was lovely to see the Spring elves! I really like the multi-color of that gorgeous lacy background behind this cute image too. Looks so pretty with the shape of the focal die. TFS & Hugs
