Whiff of Joy and Papertake Weekly Challenges



I love this little chap, he's so happy! I just wish the colours had come out better in the photo: irl they are brighter, and the glitter gleams!

I'm entering the Whiff of Joy Challenge which this fortnight is for a thank you card.

The sketch is Papertake Weekly which is a great one for showing off pretty papers!

The gorgeous glittered papers are from the DCWV 'All Dressed up' stack which I've had for ages, but I've been so reluctant to cut them because they are so glittery and gorgeous! The unglittery stripy piece is from stash, and I'm rather pleased that it matches so well. Matching papers always takes me a long time!

I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, but my sister's been staying and since my craft room is also the spare room I haven't been crafting for over a week!

Hi, guys! We have a new challenge at Dream Valley and it's to use yellow and black on your project. Our sponsor is the gorgeous All Dressed Up and Wendy kindly gave us a couple of her adorable images to use. I chose Magical Woodland it is so cute. The background is made with the Honeybee layering die set from Birch Press, and I used up scraps of orange, black and yellow card forthe die-cutting. The die-cut sentiment uses a Love from Lizi die and a snippet of black glitter cardstock. Have a look of my teamies' creations, they have made some very pretty cards! My Time to Craft! #390 Men Only

Hi, guys! I hope you're all keeping well! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Men Only. Yep, we're asking for those tricky cards for the Blokes! I have made a card for a boy. This is Fenton Frog by Sweet'n'Sassy stamps, he is so cute! ALL the papers and card (except the card base were made with Snippets from the scrap drawer! The sentiment came with the image and I cut it out and layered it onto a folded banner die-cut by Simon Says Stamp, using a scrap of green glittery card. I added green Nuvo Drops as an embellishment as well as two tiny green hearts on the banner. I am determined to make a real effort to use up snippets this year!! My Time to Craft #386 More Than One Fold - but not an easel!!

Hello, my lovelies! I hope you're all keeping well and keeping on top of all the Chrimbo shenanigans! To take your mind off things we have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is More Than One Fold But No Easels! I don't know about you, but an easel card is my default for more than one fold, so I was a bit anxious about this one. However, in the nick of time Jennifer McGuire posted a video on how to make a Double Z-fold card which fits the bill! This is the outside, which looks like an ordinary Z-fold, but when you open it..... I used a printed ready-made card base and stamped and embossed an old Hero Arts stamp across the internal section, masking areas for the sentiments. I coloured the flowers with Zig brush markers. The sentiments are stamped with gold Delicata ink. This was made for a birthday at the end of October, I am pleased to say that the recipient liked it!
