Dream Valley Challenge DT card and a crafting catastrophe!

Now for my card. This little cutie is Butterfly Nora by C C Designs, and she came from Dies to Die For. The sketch is from the wonderful blog I Need A Sketch - Jo lists all the sketches she's designed for Sketch Saturday and some other blogs.

Papers are DCWV 'Mariposa' stack - I've had this for ages because I couldn't bear to cut into the glittery, butterfly-y, gorgeous designs! I glittered Nora's wings and the butterfly and I distressed the circle in Broken China and then glittered on top, and also glittered the 3 butterflies punched with a Woodware punch. Too much glitter? Nah, never!! The sentiment is PB and I glittered that, too.

I did have another card rarin' to go on Wednesday, which just needed to be put together. Hubby brought me a glass of wine to sip while creating. Guess what? Yes, I knocked the glass over and soaked my card!

Panic! Rush to the loo to grab a towel to blot it all up! I may have said 'Drat and Botheration!' too. But it was too late. I really couldn't display a crinkly card with an odour of Chateau de Plonk for my DT example, so I started again, this time with different papers as I'd used up my previous choice. And, actually, this is a better card, probably because I'd put in all that practice before the disaster!!

So the moral of this tale is, Carding and Wine do not mix!
