A little bit of magic might help

Evening, all, I hope you're well. It's been a SCORCHIO! day - summer is here! Hooray!

Unfortunately a dear friend is confined indoors recovering from an operation, but I hope this Whiff of Joy image will cheer her up.

I used Spectrum Noirs to colour her. I'm a bit annoyed, because when I pulled the lid off the green pen to do the final colouring the whole nib came off and the inner tube went flying across my desk! Splodges all over my papers! Luckily none landed on the image, but I had to cut her out instead of using a Nestie. So I shall be a lot more careful with these pens in future.

I'm just glad no ink landed on my background papers, which are from the first Nitwits download I ever bought, eighteen months ago, called 'Cherry Blossom. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the metal spray is from stash. The gold corners are Whiff of Joy, and so is the sentiment. I put Glossy Accents on the potion bottles.

I coloured some white seam binding with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks. Finally I used a Woodware punch to make 2 leaves.

The picture is a bit faded, in reality this is very pink!

I'm entering the following Challenges:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp provided the great sketch
Whiff of Joy Challenge where the theme is 'use metal' (I've used metal corners and a metal spray with the flowers)
Truly Scrumptious Challenge has a theme of 'Pretty in Pink'

Well, it's high time I had a nice cool shower before bedtime. We're off to Shrewsbury tomorrow - I hope I've scheduled my post for Dream Valley - apologies if it doesn't work!

Thanks for looking, and sleep well!

love Mags B x

I havent had that happen with my speccies, but I twist when I pull, instead of just pull at the tops. unless that makes the difference?

Hi Mags

What a lovely card and I'm sure it'll cheer your friend up no end. Good thing the ink didn't go everywhere, that would of been so annoying!

Have a lovely time in Shrewsbury, it's a beautiful place isn't it?

Big hugs xx

Ooops accidents happen all the time when crafting, don't they? Good thing not too much got ruined in the process. LOvely pink card; I'm sure this'll have cheered up your friend. Thanks for joining us @Truly Scrumptious this fortnight.
