More Paper Piecing

Evening, all!

I have been paper piecing some thank you cards, since I needed a bunch, using Penny Black flower stamps Gossamer 3865K and Whispers 3377K


This one is made with blue Snippets - paper piecing is such a good way to use up scraps of paper! Though even so I have to force myself to throw away the snippets left after fussy cutting the design! And I apologise for the naff photo, the card base is in fact white!


And this one is, of course, made with pink snippets. the very tiny areas are coloured with felt tips.

The banners are by Lawn Fawn and I edged them with Spectrum Noir pens in the appropriate colours, to look like mats, and put them on foam adhesive to give some dimension.

Two very simple cards, with no glitter or Glossy Accents, just stamped and cut papers! An ideal technique for quietly cutting out while watching tv!

These are both so lovely. I think my fave is the pink...the paper is so delicate!
You and I have both been fussy cutting!

I second you I. The crime stats for Midsomer...I would not want to live there at all. We liked it so much better with John Nettles though!

Our all time favourite series has been Morse, Lewis and now Endeavour...such fabulous acting!!!

It is pitching down rain here, lots of thunder and lightening . It has knocked the power out and the cable and internet too...going to be a long night.

My Time to Craft! #390 Men Only

Hi, guys! I hope you're all keeping well! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Men Only. Yep, we're asking for those tricky cards for the Blokes! I have made a card for a boy. This is Fenton Frog by Sweet'n'Sassy stamps, he is so cute! ALL the papers and card (except the card base were made with Snippets from the scrap drawer! The sentiment came with the image and I cut it out and layered it onto a folded banner die-cut by Simon Says Stamp, using a scrap of green glittery card. I added green Nuvo Drops as an embellishment as well as two tiny green hearts on the banner. I am determined to make a real effort to use up snippets this year!! My Time to Craft #386 More Than One Fold - but not an easel!!

Hello, my lovelies! I hope you're all keeping well and keeping on top of all the Chrimbo shenanigans! To take your mind off things we have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is More Than One Fold But No Easels! I don't know about you, but an easel card is my default for more than one fold, so I was a bit anxious about this one. However, in the nick of time Jennifer McGuire posted a video on how to make a Double Z-fold card which fits the bill! This is the outside, which looks like an ordinary Z-fold, but when you open it..... I used a printed ready-made card base and stamped and embossed an old Hero Arts stamp across the internal section, masking areas for the sentiments. I coloured the flowers with Zig brush markers. The sentiments are stamped with gold Delicata ink. This was made for a birthday at the end of October, I am pleased to say that the recipient liked it!
