My Time To Craft DT #254 use Kraft.
Good morning! I hope you're all having a relaxing Saturday with a minimum of housework and a maximum of crafty time!
There's a new Challenge at My Time To Kraft which is Use Craft. (Did you see what I did there?!) As long as we can see Kraft on your artwork, it's all good. Colour on it, emboss it, mat and layer it - however your fancy takes you!
Now, I have to apologise for this dull picture, irl the colours are much prettier!
I made my card base from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft card, and it's cut to the American A2 size (4.25" x 5.50") and i rounded the bottom corners with the faithful Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers. I stamped the background with Versamark, using a background stamp by Hero Arts/Basic Grey called Circles and Diamonds. I went over the circles with a teal gel pen from Sakura. It's shinier than shown on the photo!
The chipboard butterfly is from Maya Road, I've had it for ages! I covered it with paper from the Basic Grey Hipster Collection and went areound the raw edge with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.. I added a butterfly trail cut from a Hobbycraft gemmed flourish.
The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted, it's from their You Are stamp set: 'You Are' is a separate stamp, and there are lots of different words to add to complete your sentiment. I stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed in white, and cut the flag shape using a MFT 'Die-namics' Fishtail Flags die. I edged it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and drew a border with a white gel pen. The turquoise brad is from stash.
Not my usual style! This is another card influenced by artists like Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire and Debby Hughes I am trying to get to grips with CAS!!!!!
Go and see the inspirational pieces that my teamies at My Time To Craft have created, you are sure to be inspired to join in the fun!
But, please, if it's not obvious, please mention what part of your design is Kraft! I hate to play the 'grey-haired old Grannie' card (apart from anything else my hair has been dyed burgundy for the past 11 years!) but, truly, my eyesight is not what it was and without an explanation I may miss that single, exquisite Kraft butterfly you placed so delicately on your creation!!!!!
Thanks for looking, my dearios!
