Easter Bunny

Image
Good evening, all! Well, it's meant to be Spring now, but it's sooo cold, and more snow is forecast for next week! I hope you're all keeping warm, my lovelies - I have a wonderful burgundy-coloured Slanket (it's like a fluffy blanket but with sleeves) and I am living in it every evening! We had a power-cut two days ago, and spent the evening by candlelight. Thank goodness for my new Kindle, which glows in the dark so I was able to read for the 2 and a half hours we were without power! Enough of this, here's a springlike Easter card: The sweet Bunny is by Penny Black from the 'T for Transparent' Garden Friends set. I love her gorgeous straw hat! She is coloured with Promarkers and I distressed round the edge with Bundled Sage DI. The mat is cut with a Nesties Scalloped Square die. I glittered the tiny butterflies but of course they don't show too well! Papers are Basic Grey 'Porcelain' which I bought back in 2011 and which I had to for...

Little Girls Tea Time

Good evening, all! I hope you're all keeping well! Brrr, it has been so cold and damp and windy today, more like October than May! Do I not like this weather!! I hope the rain stays away tomorrow, when the First Test against New Zealand begins! Yes, it's cricket, huzza!!! But you're not here for me wittering about The Summer Game! Here's a card I made for a friend, using a Lili of the Valley ready-coloured image called Little Girls Tea Time isn't it cute? My friend and I often meet for a cuppa, and I'm rather sad as she will be moving away soon, so I hope this card reminds her of happy times. Mind, we are both considerably older than these little girlies, take a look: I made a joy fold card , and the blue bow is positioned so that it just about holds the flap closed. The papers are snippets of Nitwits - but I can't remember which set!! Here's a side view to give a better idea of the fold: I used part of a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Pag...

Ballet dancing hedgehogs!

Image
Oh dear, this is not a very good photo! Last night my daughter and I saw the Moscow Ballet Company perform 'Swan Lake' at the Civic Hall. It was tremendous!! This card is for the lady at Church who organised the tickets. The challenge at Less is More is to use 3 squares on your Clean and Simple card, so I'm entering this there. The hedgies are PB, of course! I cut them out and popped them on foam pads. I used Promarkers (surprise!!) and glittered their skirts. The squares were punched from plain card using a Woodware punch, then I went round the edges with Distress Inks: Shabby Shutters, Worn Lipstick and Broken China. The text is also PB. Thanks for looking, and I hope you're keeping warm on this cold day! luv, Mags x Promarkers: Ivory, Pastel Pink, Cool Grey 1 - 4, China Blue, Blue Pearl, Mint Green, Pastel Green, Blossom, Pink Carnation
