Hi, guys! We have a new challenge at My Time to Craft! and the theme is either Cats or Halloween I found a very, very old stamp set by Francoise Read for Woodware which has some lovely cartoonish cats. I heat-embossed him and used Prismacolour pencils to colour him in. He had to be pink and white, like Bagpuss! The papers are also very old, from My Mind's Eyes Quite Contrary paper pad. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, I bent it into a wave to give some interest. Go and see what my creative teamies have done with these themes! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

I am so very sorry, chaps, I thought I'd sceduled Saturday's post! Huge apologies! And it's a great Challenge at My Time to Craft - Make a Scene . You can take a break from Christmas cards by making a beach scene, for instance! Just as long as you use Stamps that is all fine! I went for Christmas! :D I used Simon Says Stamp 'Lots of Snowflakes' stamps on my background, heat-embossed them, then sponged Distress Inks over the top. The snowbank is a SSS Christmas Scene Stencil, I used Wendy Vecchi embossing paste over it, then sprinkled on some Wow! glitter embossing powder and heat set: the paste bubbled to give some gret texture! The Snowman is from a stamp set by My Mind's Eye, 'Winter Wonderland' and the trees and sentiment are by Clearly Besotted. Thanks so much for looking! love Mags B x

Evening, all! Well, this afternoon we had sunshine yay! Long may it continue! Especially next week, when we have our garden renovated! Out will go the bushes, in will come raised beds and turf, and it will be so much easier to maintain! I can't wait!! I have made a card today, this is for my daughter's BFF who turns 27 on Monday. 27! It's only 5 minutes since she left school!!! I tell you, time has definitely speeded up over the past quarter-century! This sweetie is Owlette, a digi from Tiddly Inks , isn't she elegant? I love her pet owl! I coloured her with Promarkers (list below) and put Glossy Accents on her hat. The mat is cut with a Picot Circle Nestie (I love that die!). The crochet lace, and the blue seam binding that I made into a double bow, both came from The Ribbon Girl. The papers are 'Be Amazing' by My Mind's Eye. Evening, all! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been quite manic here but Ye Olde Manne and I have finally arranged a weekend away in Shropshire to visit our granddaughter. I can't wait! Unfortunately a good friend hasn't been well, so I've made her a 'cheer you up' card.  I was originally going to enter last week's challenge at Whiff of Joy which was for paper piecing, but I was unexpectedly out today and missed the boat. I used Willow with Sunhat and she's on clearance sale at the mo, so if you like her, get in quick! I like paper piecing, it can be fiddly, but I find it relaxing when in front of the tv. I used MME papers that were free last year - or maybe the year before?  I cut out her dress and hat and then glued the scarf and apron over the top, that's a bit easier than cutting out bits that have to be put together like a jigsaw! The rest is coloured with Promarkers and the flowers are 'stickled pink'. (lol...

My olde manne is out tonight, so I've been ensconsed in my room, creating! I love this Whiff of Joy image of Willow adjusting her shoe. She is so graceful and elegant, and I love her ruffled sleeves! I went back to my Promarkers, which are easier to use than Speccies because I know twhich colours work together! The swirls are also Whiff of Joy, stamped in Worn Lipstick DI, and I also dragged the edges around the ink pad to emphasise them. The pink mat is a Nestie and is also edged with Worn Lipstick. I've stickled her belt and jewellery, and also round the edge of the image, and along the cross-shape. Papers are MME, from a pad that was a magazine freebie last year (loved these so much I bought a second copy!) I also used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch. The pearls are from stash. This week's Lili of the Valley Challenge is Bring On The Music . You have to make a card featuring music, or a song, or musical notes etc! My sister's birthday is in July, so I immediately thought of the song 'Sisters, Sisters' by Irving Berlin from the film 'White Christmas.' This cute little stamp, 'Coffee Time', is just right! I used papers from the 'Bloom and Grow' pad by My Mind's Eye, which are lovely and bright. The sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp . Ribbon and flowers are from stash, and I stickled the edges of the papers, and you can just see where I used a MS doily lace punch, too. There's also a Marianne swirl at the bottom left, but it isn't showing very well! I decorated the inside to match: The sentiment is LotV, the doily is a Nestie. I'm rather pleased with this card - but not with the pictures! They're rather faded, and definitely wonky - I snapped them outside in between breezes, so it was all a bit hu...

Hi, guys! It's been a frustrating week, since the Internet has not been full of love for the Manor recently. So I recalled the cavalry and he galloped to the rescue and fixed our Router! Honestly, my massive Olympia typewriter, which I was only just tall enough to look over, never had these problems! Though you did have to BANG on the keys - no power assisted steering on an Olympia, no sir! This card I made last week for a little girl at the Toddler Club, who's going on to school. Stamps are LotV, flowers are Wild Orchid. I can't find the list of Promarkers, sorry, guys! Papers are MME, and I glittered the edges. The leaf is a Woodware punch.
