Dream Valley Challenges #222 Spring Colours.

Image
Hello! It's a beautiful Spring day, and I have been sitting in the garden having a cuppa - still in my coat, because it's a wee bit chilly! Thebirds are getting very active, and a neighbour's tree is covered in pink blossom. Also, the grass needs cutting! And we have Spring Colours as our theme at Dream Valley! Our sponsor is the gorgeous All Dressed Up - Wendy's images are so pretty! My spring colours are pink and green. The elegant dancer is dressed like a cherry blossom and is about to twirl across the stage! She is an older stamp called Looking Gorgeous which came via Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. The flowered background paper is from an old First Edition pad, and has a spot gloss finish. I used an old Spellbinders die to cut the frame. It looks coral in the photo, but in real life it's more pink! The green ribbon is from my stash. Go and see the lovely examples left on the blog, then pick your favourite spring colours and join in! Thanks for l...

Dream Valley Challenges #205 Yellow and Black

Image
Hi, guys! We have a new challenge at Dream Valley and it's to use yellow and black on your project. Our sponsor is the gorgeous All Dressed Up and Wendy kindly gave us a couple of her adorable images to use. I chose Magical Woodland it is so cute. The background is made with the Honeybee layering die set from Birch Press, and I used up scraps of orange, black and yellow card forthe die-cutting. The die-cut sentiment uses a Love from Lizi die and a snippet of black glitter cardstock. Have a look of my teamies' creations, they have made some very pretty cards! Thanks for looking and - Bee Happy! love Mags B x

Dream Valley Challenge #172 3 Patterned Papers

Image
Good morning, my lovelies! I hope you all had a great weekend - we were visited by the grandchildren (and their parents!) which was lovely. The house seems very quiet now! We have an interesting new Challenge at Dream Valley - Use Three Patterned Papers. A good way to use up those snippets we all save! I apologise for the wonky photo! I used A girl can't have too many... rubber stamp by All Dressed Up for Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. She is so chic, with her elegant shoes and hat! I think of her as une Parisienne, so I used papers from the Paris Girl collection by Echo Park/Carta Bella. The Eiffel Tower chipboard was a magazine freebie a looooong time ago. The ribbon is from stash. I used a Penny Black Heart String die to cut the hearts swag from the same paper I used at the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from and old stamp set by Lili of the Valley. Our sponsor this fortnight is the fabulous All Dressed Up Stamps. Go and see my teamies' great c...

Dream Valley Challenge #163 Autumn Colours

Image
Hi, guys! We have a new Challenge at Dream Valley and it's very topical: Autumn Colours. So that's red, orange, brown, a little green, perhaps. Mind today has been cold and rainy so the autumn colours in S-E Herts are basically grey and more grey!!! I made my card before the last very busy fortnight (Children's Holiday Club at Church followed by a week away near Bath) and used an image from our sponsor, the fabulous All Dressed Up which I already had. Sadly, she is no longer available on the website, but there are plenty more of Wendy's delightful digis to admire! I used some old papers by Kaisercraft from the Peachy Keen Collection and added some lace from stash.  The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley.  I used a Fiskars Threading water punch on the horizontal yellow strip, and the corners are from an ancient Spellbinders die set. The papers have a lovely gloss over the red leaves, and I added Glossy Accents to the balloon - which looks blue in the photo...

Dream Valley #157 More Than One Fold

Image
Hi, guys! I hope all is well with you. This Bank Holiday weekend we were visited by our children and both grandchildren, which was lovely! The house is very quiet now..... Time for a new Challenge at Dream Valley which is to make something with More than One Fold. I made an easel card. The adorable image is Springtime by All Dressed Up stamps. So sweet! I added butterflies cut with a die by Joy! Crafts which I can't find to link to, sadly. There are pearls along the butterfly bodies and also in the corners. The stopper is made with strips of card and papers, gold-embossed with a Lawn Fawn Scripty Saying sentiment. The ribbon is from stash. We have two sponsors for this Challenge: Oddball Art and All Dressed Up. My teamies have made some lovely examples to inspire you with interesting folds, do take a look! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x
