The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge #22 Kids or Babies.

Good morning, all! At least, I hope it's morning, I'm scheduling this post and if it doesn't work I'll be re-posting after Church, the Supermarket and, most importantly, LUNCH!

It's time for another challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox. The entries for the last challenge were lovely, thank you for entering, I got some good ideas for Christmas cards!

This fortnight we'd like to see cards made for Kids and Babies

Our sponsor is the wonderful Bugaboo and the DT were delighted to be able to use some of their adorable images!

Here's my card:

This has been made for a young man who has just turned 4. Isn't this image just right for a boy who loves exploring? I used Promarkers to colour him (list below) and used a Nestie to cut him out, then did the usual trick of drawing round the edge on my matting card and cutting out to give a thin border.

The papers are 'U Bug Me' by Bo Bunny. I happened to be browsing the Dies to Die For site (as one does) and came across these fab papers (and more!) I ordered on a Sunday and they got here first thing Tuesday morning! Thanks, Tracey, you're a Star!

The chipboard Dragonfly and Butterfly are from Angel Crafts which is another fab website with ace service! I coloured both insects with Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Inks and edged them with Frayed Burlap, then covered them with Crackle Glaze. The crackle effect isn't very dramatic, but it adds a bit of interest!

The lace (is it called raffia lace?) is from stash, I've had it so long I don't know where I got it. Or what it's actually called! The tags are LotV, coloured with Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey, but covered with Glossy Accents. The number 4 is from a grunge alphabet and numbers by Ranger, and also has been DId and Glossy Accented. The shiny blue stickers are Paperchase.

The front was so heavy it didn't balance so I decorated the inside, reversing the front papers as is my wont. You can see the green 'creepy crawly' paper a bit better here.

Well, this has been a bit of a marathon, congrats to everyone who made it this far, you deserve a medal! Do hop across and see the adorable work my teamies have made, they'll inspire you! Then make a card for Kids or Babies and join in the fun!

Thanks for looking, and I hope the sun shines on you this week at least a little bit!

love Mags B x
