The Squirrel and the Fox #32 Summer or Winter

eta apologies for the delay, I thought I scheduled this, but something went wrong!

Hi guys! Once again it's time for another challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and this time our theme is either Summer or Winter. Our sponsor the the fabulous Robyn's Fetish who generously let the DT use some of their images.

I chose 'Summer' as a change from Christmas cards!

I'm sorry the picture is so wishy-washy, the colours irl are much brighter.

I coloured the lovely Sunflower with Promarkers and used a Spellbinders Labels 20 20 to die-cut it. The mat is cut with a Nesties trellis die, and the horizontal strip is also edged with Trellis elemants. I distressed with Scattered Straw DI while the image was still in the die. The corners, which I went over with gold Liquid Pearls, are Spellbinders' Parisian Motifs.

I used a Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish and also a Martha Stewart 3-in-1 hydrangea punch for the little flowers, which have gems in the middle of the larger ones and dots of gold liquid pearls in the smaller ones.

The sentiment is LotV and the papers are Nitwits 'Bees Knees Too' I love the bright colours of this set! The ribbon is from Angel Crafts

Do go across to The Squirrel and the Fox and see the fab work the DT has done. Northerners, try not to be envious of the description of the hot summer weather that Sydney is enjoying now!!

Thanks for looking!

love Mags B x

Promarkers: Raw Sienna, Mustard, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup; Sandstone, Cocoa, Walnut, Henna; Forest Green, Lush Green, Lime Green; Cool Grey 1

What a nice change to look at this sunny card. Skies are overcast and rain is pouring down and it is the BIG RIG parade today.
It is so popular that you need to go about 2 hours early to get a viewing spot that will give the right angle for pictures.
Think we will have to give it a pass this year. It is a great parade for men and boys as all the truckers in the area decorate their rigs. There are cranes, trucks, caterpillars, bulldozers, etc. It lasts for a bout an hour. There are a lot of entrees!

Without a grandson, I would probably never have discovered this parade...but he loves it so.

Great card and sunny skies!!!
