The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge 46 - use metal!

Good morning, all! I hope you're all enjoying a peaceful Sunday. I have had my son and his little family staying for two nights, which was lovely! My son still has the ability to annoy his sister within a minute - do our children ever really grow up?! My DiL and I sat on the sidelines, shaking our heads and playing with my gorgeous grandchild, Lillie, who is crawling (very fast!) and loves to explore in rooms she isn't allowed to visit, like the kitchen! It's lovely having a baby about the place again!

Time for my card! This fortnight's challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox is slightly unusual: it's to Use Metal. This could be charms, or brads, or metal flowers or foliage, or corners, or bookplates - anything made of metal that's an intrinsic part of your design. (You may want to Think Tim Holtz!!!)

Our wonderful sponsor is Beary Wishes who are offering 3 of their cute digis to a lucky winner! The site also has free digi stamps, so you can 'try before you buy' - do go over and check the site out, there are some lovely images there! And the DT got to use some, too!!!

This beauty is Floral Vase it is so versatile, and a joy to colour! I used my Promarkers (list below.) The papers are 'Bonnets and Bowties' by Lili of the Valley and the sentiment is also LotV, stamped in Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and with the hearts stickled.

The ribbon is from stash, and the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts

The all-important Metal additions are the four pink flower brads, and the heart charm, which was an RAK from my daughter.

What are you waiting for? Dig out those brads and charms and anything else that's metal (though perhaps great-aunt Mabel's silver candlesticks might not be suitable!) and join in at The Squirrel and the Fox.

I hope your weekend is going well!

Thanks for looking!

love Mags B x

I know exactly how you feel having the baby around. They are such a joy when you know they are going home ha ha! I don't think I have ever felt a love so strong as I do for our 2 grandsons. They bring the fun out in me! Great crafting too! X
