My Time to Craft DT Challenge #262 Santa

Good morning! I hope you all have a happy weekend planned with lots of relaxing crafty time! Once I have tidied my Craft Hovel (yet again!) and changed all the bedsheets I am hoping to do some colouring, because.... I have my very first Copics!!! They are Copic Ciaos, and I am hoping to ask for more for Christmas! :D

My card today, however, was coloured using Spectrum Noirs. (I'm going to have to do a lot more colouring now, otherwise my Promarkers and Speccies will feel neglected lol!)

At My Time to Craft our theme this week is Santa I went for an old-fashioned look.

I must apologise for the picture quality, it was quite a gloomy day when I snapped it.

The image is one of my favourite Santas: Antique Santa by Penny Black. He is one of their Slapstick Cling stamps. I added gold stickles to the stars on his coat and the one on his staff, and Diamond stickles to his fur trim.

The papers are Papermania At Christmas Time by docrafts, sadly it seems to be unavailable now. (I have had this stack for 3 years, so it's not surprising!) I went over the holly leaves with a Wink of Stella pen, and added dots of red Liquid Pearls for the berries. The ribbon is from stash.

I'm entering this at the CRAFT Challenge whose theme is Christmas.

There are so many variations that can be done on a 'Santa' theme - go and see what my teamies have done, you'll be very impressed by the variety! Then see what you can come up with, too!

Thanks for looking!

Mags, this is a great vintage Christmas card! I love the image and BG papers are perfect for the image. The attention to detail on the image is superb as is your coloring. How exciting to have your first Copics! I started with those and it ruined me for everything else. With all your markers, you should be a colorin' fool! Ha! I'd be at it every chance I had if I had more colors available to me. So happy for you! xx

Delightful PB image (and I'm wondering if somewhere in my stash do I have this one?). I love it! Your coloring is terrific, and you've got some perfect papers to go with your old Father Christmas. This looks like a very old-fashioned, long ago Christmas card. The kind I really love. TFS & Big hugs.

Hi mags great card and good luck in the challenge at craft
What a fun Santa image! Your coloring is wonderful, I'll be interested in seeing what you think of your copic markers. I started with spectrum noir but once I got copics I haven't used them anymore. Have fun coloring!
Great card hun, love the image & that ribbon looks fab!
