Dream Valley Challenge 1

Here's my very first DT offering! The Dream Valley Challenge theme is s nice simple one: Anything Goes!

Here's a description of what's wanted and the yummy prizes:

Well our first challenge is finally here and what an exciting day it is for us and hopefully for you too. For our first wee Challenge we want you to make anything you like! Its that easy! Normally our Challenges will run fortnightly but this challenge will be for only one week!

All you have to do is make anything you like, card, scrapbook page, altered item jewellery etc, ANYTHING GOES!! We have some fab prizes up for grabs for 3 lucky winners!

1st Prize £10 voucher for Lili of the Valley

2nd prize is Fashionista and Dude Simply Sassy set

and 3rd prize is wee Windswept Simply Sassy

Ok, on to my card at last!

The image is Melinda with a Basket of Muffins from Whiff of Joy's Guardian Angels set. I was very wicked this month and indulged in some new stamps - well, there are sales to take advantage of! So this is the first time I've inked this Melinda, and I must say she was a joy to colour with Promarkers. I smothered her wings with Icicle stickles!

I cut her out and popped her on foam pads on an oval cut with a Nestie, and I distressed the edges with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.

The papers are Basic Grey Nook and Pantry, the heart shaped gems are from stash, the ribbon is recycled from a set of bath bubbles I got for Christmas, the flowers are Wild Orchid - except for the green 'leaves' under the smallest roses, which are Prima. I dabbed some magenta glitter glue here and there on the flowers, but it isn't showing up very well!

I've made this card for my daughter, who makes delicious cupcakes - and leaves splashes of icing on the tiles, the counter, the floor, the sink... She's very enthusiastic!
