Rosie Posy in the Pink!
Bracy yourselves, chaps, this is very pink!
I have been experimenting with my new Spectrum Noir pens. It's rather peculiar, after using Promarkers for so long, to be learning once again which colours go together. The colours are more vivid than Promarkers, and the tops on the ends are identical, so I keep pulling off the wrong one and getting the chisel nib instead of the fine nib. I've been playing with colour, which is always an education.
Anyway, to the card! The image is of course LotV Rosie Posy, which I haven't inked up in months! I used a Nestie Labels die, then drew round the outside on pink card and cut out to make the narrow border.
Papers are Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose. I used my NEW Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Lace Die - I've wanted it for ages and finally indulged!
The flowers are the Retro punch, the leaves are a Woodware one which I got last year - it's meant to be a spray of blossom, I think, but it's useful for leaves when you haven't quite got room for a swirl. The butterflies are also an old Woodware punch.
The embellies are punched from the background papers, the flowers covered with Glamour Dust and gems from stash, the butterflies have a bit of blue glitterglue smeared across the wings, and liquic pearls for their bodies. Of course today is so grey that the glitter hardly shows! There's pink glitter on Rosie's hairribbons and the spots on the flower paper, too.
The sketch is from Sketch and Stash The ribbon is recycled from a gorgeous box of Lush bath fizzers I got for my birthday - and it smells lovely! Shame the camera can't pick up scents!
I'm entering this for 2 challenges:
Lili of the Valley Challenge whose theme is 'Thank you'
and Sketch and Stash. My new stash is the Spectrum Noirs, the border die, and the ribbon, everything else is quite old!
Thanks for looking!
luv, Mags x
