DT card for Dream Valley Challenge 39
Good afternoon, my lovelies! Phew, it's hot! I just hope the good weather lasts until the end of the Paralympics - isn't it great that soon we'll be having yet more thrilling sport to enjoy?!
It's time for another Dream Valley Challenge and this time the theme is STEAMPUNK. Our sponsor is My Mum's Craft Shop
There's a £10 voucher up for grabs!
Here's my card:
I had to do a fancy shot because otherwise the sunshine reflecting from the silver card was just too dazzling!
The paper is from MME but I didn't note the name - I love the cute antique aircraft! I layered it on silver card then die-cut the circle through the middle and added the silver 'porthole' frame. The Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die-cuts have been swiped with Weathered Wood and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks, and I used Peeled Paint Distress Embossing powder to give a verdigris effect. The rivets are silver pearls from stash.
The cute image is Lil Victorian Steampunk Lad Eric by Christina Dee for Tickled Pink Stamps (their site is down for maintenance so I can't link at the mo.) I used Promarkers, and Crackle Accented his boots and helmet to give more of the Distressed look. The 'Thanks' is my new Marianne die.
Here's the inside, showing the reverse of the paper and the Indigo Blu Airship, which is stamped in Rich Cocoa ink and smeared with a spot or two of copper stickles. The scalloped mat has been distressed with Bundled Sage ink.
So there we are, and now it's over to you! It doesn't have to be a card, of course, you could build and decorate your own Airship in the back garden! Fly over to see my teamies' fab creations and be inspired!
Thanks for looking!
love Mags B x
Promarkers: Black, Cool Grey 1 - 5, Sunflower, Tulip Yellow, Walnut, Cocoa, Henna, Tan; Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Pastel Pink; Holly, Lush Green, Grass
