For a Little Angel
Hi, all! I'm so sorry I've been AWOL, my elderly laptop decided to start freezing - so frustrating! Trying to get online with my phone is definitely not the same, I always hit the wrong letters on the teeny-tiny keyboard! Luckily after a thorough clean of the keyboard with a paintbrush the problem seems to be solved - thank goodness for my daughter, I'd never have thought of that on my own!!
So I have to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas but at least I'm in time to say Happy New Year! I hope you all have a wonderful 2013!
Just before Christmas my hubby, daughter and I went down to Shropshire to celebrate our granddaughter's first birthday. Her initials are 'L A' so I always think of her as 'Little Angel'! Oh she is gorgeous! She loved her 'post the shapes in the matching holes' house that we got her - at least, I think she did, she certainly enjoyed bashing the shapes together!
This is the card I made her:
Apologies for the naff picture, the Christmas tree is standing in the corner by the window that I normally use, so the light is even worse than usual. :(
The card is cut with a Cupcake die by Hero Arts from a shop (Craftie Charlie) which is new to me - but the service was great, I ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and it arrived Thursday morning!
I first saw a cupcake card on the fabulous Jules's blog and fell in love!
The image is Cake Glorious Cake by Lili of the Valley. The papers are from an MME pack that was free with a mag, I paper-pieced the background and also her dress. I used Promarkers (and I've lost the list!) for the rest.
The chocolate icing is Glossy Accented. The wings have been stickled, and I also put dots on the pink paper 'icing' on the cupcake. The '1' is a Tim Holtz grungeboard numeral, swiped with Worn Lipstick ink and Glossy Accented.
Thanks for looking, guys, and I hope you're all safe and well and not troubled by all the awful weather and flooding. I feel so sorry for people who've had their Christmas spoiled by the storms and floods, it must be awful. Hopefully 2013 will be better.
much love, Mags B x
