The Squirrel and the Fox #43 Mother's Day
Good morning, all! I hope you're all keeping well. Here in the UK we have a Bank Holiday on Monday, so today I intend to have a massive clean-and-tidy and then on Monday hubby and I intend to have a walk around our local bird reserve. IF the sun is shining, that is!
It's time for another challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox and this fortnight the theme is 'Mother's Day.' Our lovely sponsor is Pink Cat Studio and the lucky winner will be able to choose 5 free digis!
The DT were offered some digis to work with, and I fell for this lovely Butterfly on a Tall Stem because it's so delicate and pretty - ideal for a Mum, I think!
The background paper is from DCWV Garden Stack, which I've had for years! It's glittered and very pretty, but the pattern is quite big, and never seemed right for a card with lots of layers. However, the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches is lovely and simple, so I decided to try that one. I think it worked!
I took the colours of the paper to choose my pens - this time I dug out the Flexmarkers for a change. I used the Amaranth pen to colour a piece of white ribbon and layered it on some organza ribbon at the side. The image was cut with a Nesties die, and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and it's glittered with stickles. The sentiment is LotV, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the leaves are cut with a Woodware punch.
I'm really pleased with how delicate this card looks!
Flutter by The Squirrel and the Fox to see the adorable creations that my teamis have made, thy will inspire you to join in!
I hope you're having a happy weekend, and thanks for looking!

Thanks for joining us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
(And I love what you've done with WV up there...honestly one of the most irritating inventions ever! And to make it the default setting when folks are trying to figure out the rest of blogging...that's just mean! lol)
