Easter Bunny

Image
Good evening, all! Well, it's meant to be Spring now, but it's sooo cold, and more snow is forecast for next week! I hope you're all keeping warm, my lovelies - I have a wonderful burgundy-coloured Slanket (it's like a fluffy blanket but with sleeves) and I am living in it every evening! We had a power-cut two days ago, and spent the evening by candlelight. Thank goodness for my new Kindle, which glows in the dark so I was able to read for the 2 and a half hours we were without power! Enough of this, here's a springlike Easter card: The sweet Bunny is by Penny Black from the 'T for Transparent' Garden Friends set. I love her gorgeous straw hat! She is coloured with Promarkers and I distressed round the edge with Bundled Sage DI. The mat is cut with a Nesties Scalloped Square die. I glittered the tiny butterflies but of course they don't show too well! Papers are Basic Grey 'Porcelain' which I bought back in 2011 and which I had to for...

Little Girls Tea Time

Image
Good evening, all! I hope you're all keeping well! Brrr, it has been so cold and damp and windy today, more like October than May! Do I not like this weather!! I hope the rain stays away tomorrow, when the First Test against New Zealand begins! Yes, it's cricket, huzza!!! But you're not here for me wittering about The Summer Game! Here's a card I made for a friend, using a Lili of the Valley ready-coloured image called Little Girls Tea Time isn't it cute? My friend and I often meet for a cuppa, and I'm rather sad as she will be moving away soon, so I hope this card reminds her of happy times. Mind, we are both considerably older than these little girlies, take a look: I made a joy fold card , and the blue bow is positioned so that it just about holds the flap closed. The papers are snippets of Nitwits - but I can't remember which set!! Here's a side view to give a better idea of the fold: I used part of a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Pag...

Dream Valley Challenge 45 - Anything Goes!

Image
Good evening, all! I'm sorry this post is so late, we've had Internet problems, but my daughter is now home from a weekend away and she found the wire that had become unplugged! Next week we're going to buy a new Router - exciting times!! Just as exciting is our latest challenge at Dream Valley which is the perennial favourite Anything Goes Our sponsor is Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10 voucher to spend at her online shop. Isn't that a fab prize?! Her shop sells Crafter's Companion gear, inclucing the cute 'Humphrey' stamps and Spectrum Noir pens, so that is what I used. This sweet image is called 'Flowers for You'. I apologise for the naff picture, the green Nitwits papers are brighter and prettier in real life! I got out my Spellbinders dies for this card: the flower is made with the Rose Creations set, the oval is the largest of the Floral Ovals, and the sentiment is on a Fancy Tag. Here's an inside shot: I coloured the...
