The Squirrel and the Fox DT Challenge #72 Use something metal.

Good afternoon! I'm late with this post I'm afraid: time just ran away with me!

It's time for a new challenge at The Squirrel and the Fox! We have another great sponsor this fortnight: Delicious Doodles. A lucky winner will have FOUR digis from the shop! And all you have to do to be in with a chance is to Use Something Metal on your creation.


This wonderful image is Kingfisher in the Rushes isn't it lovely?! Near where I live there is a bird reserve where every year Kingfishers nest, they really are stunning birds!

I used Promarkers to colour the image. I added Stickles to the butterflies and dragonflies, and the bird's bill has been Glossy Accented.

I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper. The banner is by Lawn Fawn from the Winter Gifts stamp set and the matching 'Tag You're It' die. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches from the Sentiment Sampler

The metal corner came from Whiff of Joy several years ago, and the brad is from stash.

Hi, guys! We have a new challenge at Dream Valley and it's to use yellow and black on your project. My Time to Craft! #390 Men Only

Hi, guys! I hope you're all keeping well! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Men Only. Yep, we're asking for those tricky cards for the Blokes! I have made a card for a boy. This is Fenton Frog by Sweet'n'Sassy stamps, he is so cute! ALL the papers and card (except the card base were made with Snippets from the scrap drawer! The sentiment came with the image and I cut it out and layered it onto a folded banner die-cut by Simon Says Stamp, using a scrap of green glittery card. I added green Nuvo Drops as an embellishment as well as two tiny green hearts on the banner. I am determined to make a real effort to use up snippets this year!! My Time to Craft #386 More Than One Fold - but not an easel!!

Hello, my lovelies! I hope you're all keeping well and keeping on top of all the Chrimbo shenanigans! To take your mind off things we have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is More Than One Fold But No Easels! I don't know about you, but an easel card is my default for more than one fold, so I was a bit anxious about this one. However, in the nick of time Jennifer McGuire posted a video on how to make a Double Z-fold card which fits the bill! This is the outside, which looks like an ordinary Z-fold, but when you open it..... I used a printed ready-made card base and stamped and embossed an old Hero Arts stamp across the internal section, masking areas for the sentiments. I coloured the flowers with Zig brush markers. The sentiments are stamped with gold Delicata ink. This was made for a birthday at the end of October, I am pleased to say that the recipient liked it!
