CRAFT Challenge #422 Add Ribbon and Sparkle

Good morning! I hope you are all having a good week. After several days of very hot and sunny weather we have suddenly got cold breezes and drizzle. Flaming June, eh? I just hope next week will be fine, as we have our annual Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Toddler Group that I help to run, and it's so much nicer to have it in the Church grounds rather than the hall!

In the meantime, we have a new Challenge at CRAFT Challenge which is to Add Ribbon and Sparkle.

When I saw this gorgeous Festive Flamingo I knew I had to make her into a Christmas card for a lovely friend who does Ice Dancing - yes, the same sport as Torvill and Dean! (And if you're too young to remember their amazing record-breaking Olympic win dancing to Ravel's 'Bolero' here is a youtube link. Awesome!

Anyway, I coloured the Flamingo with Promarkers. Her hat is glittered with gold Glamour Dust and there is Glossy Accents on her blades and the string of lights around her neck (though they don't show well in the photo. Where's David Bailey when you need him to photograph your card, eh?)

The paper is from an ancient Papermania pad called 'Pink Christmas.' The pink ribbon is from stash. The gold-embossed sentiment is by Paper Smooches' Christmas Sampler - so useful! The gems are from stash. I also used a We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the corners.

Our fab sponsor this week is Digital Delights - seriously, if you haven't come across them before, do go and look at the delightful digis on the site! Or join the Challenge, and you might win some digis!

Do skate over to the Challenge Blog and take a look at the gorgeous sparkly inspiration that my teamies have made for you!

Then maybe look at Torvill and Dean on Youtube: they were absolutely magical!

Thanks for looking!

You are so right about this darling flamingo and Torvill and Dean. They were the epitome of beauty in skating. Thanks for visiting my blog today. I needed to see your words. To think that one of my little cards might serve as a message from Him makes me feel better about it all. Love your card! Sending big cyber hugs my dear!

Hope your picnic goes well, I see we're in for a day's rain here tomorrow, so I hope it doesn't come your direction!
