My Time to Craft #405 Anything But A Card.

Hiya! I'm sorry this post is late - my daughter is over from Ireland for the weekend, and I'm afraid with all the excitement I forgot!

Anyway, we have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft which is to make Anything BUT a Card. That can be a scrapbook page, embroidery, anything! I have made some little boxes for Christmas presents.


They are based on This video by The Posh Paper Lady. I used 6.5" papers from Kaisercraft (a very old Christmas pad!) so I was able to add lids to the boxes rather than glue everything down. All I did was add half an inch to one of the top flaps, score it, and cut off the opposite flap to give room to tuck the lid in.

The snowflakes are cut in silver mirri card using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes die. I'll add tags nearer the time, once I've found suitable gifts to go inside!

My teamies have been so creative, do go and look at their lovely work!

Our sponsor is the gorgeous All Dressed Up and Wendy kindly gave us a couple of her adorable images to use. I chose Magical Woodland it is so cute. My Time to Craft! #390 Men Only

Hi, guys! I hope you're all keeping well! We have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Men Only. Yep, we're asking for those tricky cards for the Blokes! I have made a card for a boy. This is Fenton Frog by Sweet'n'Sassy stamps, he is so cute! ALL the papers and card (except the card base were made with Snippets from the scrap drawer! The sentiment came with the image and I cut it out and layered it onto a folded banner die-cut by Simon Says Stamp, using a scrap of green glittery card. I added green Nuvo Drops as an embellishment as well as two tiny green hearts on the banner. I am determined to make a real effort to use up snippets this year!! My Time to Craft #386 More Than One Fold - but not an easel!!

Hello, my lovelies! I hope you're all keeping well and keeping on top of all the Chrimbo shenanigans! To take your mind off things we have a new Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is More Than One Fold But No Easels! I don't know about you, but an easel card is my default for more than one fold, so I was a bit anxious about this one. However, in the nick of time Jennifer McGuire posted a video on how to make a Double Z-fold card which fits the bill! This is the outside, which looks like an ordinary Z-fold, but when you open it..... I used a printed ready-made card base and stamped and embossed an old Hero Arts stamp across the internal section, masking areas for the sentiments. I coloured the flowers with Zig brush markers. The sentiments are stamped with gold Delicata ink. This was made for a birthday at the end of October, I am pleased to say that the recipient liked it!
