Good afternoon, my lovelies! I hope you're all looking forward to a relaxing weekend. We have had an exciting week chez the Manor - we have a new car! Yes, we traded in our black Ford Focus for... a black Ford Focus! 'Here come da new car, same as da old car!' It's very nippy, but most important of all - I set the radio to receive cricket broadcasts.
There is also a new challenge at My Time to Craft! and our theme is Things in the Sky. That's birds, aeroplanes, balloons, bats - but they have to be the focal point of your card, just adding a tiny butterfly won't cut it, I'm afraid.
I went with Balloons.
I am very proud of the background, which I made with Broken China Distress Oxide and a stencil. The die-cut balloons are from a box magazine by Hunkydory, and I used red and green mirri card to make them.
The strip at the bottom is from an ancient paper pad that was also a magazine gift, and I edged it with blue peel-offs by Love from Lizi. The sentiment came from one of Lizi's kits last year. Finally, I used gold glitter stickers to give some bling.
Check out our Challenge blog and have a look at my teamies' fab examples.
Thanks for looking and take care!
love Mags B x

That thudding sound is me *headdesking* because I mucked up my scheduling for this post (and the Dream Valley one, too!) I apologise!!! The new Challenge at My Time to Craft is Owls I used a Woodware Patch an Owl stamp and paper pieced it with papers from stash. The background paper and scallopped border are made with LotV Country Lady papers (they are gorgeous!) The sentiment came with the stamp set. My teamies have produced the most wonderful variety of Owls to inspire you, do, please go and see! Thanks for looking! love, Mags 'my google-fu has an intermittent fault' B x
Happy Birthday To Us Happy Birthday To Us Happy Birthday Dear CRAFT Challenge Happy Birthday To Us! Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 9 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4 th of May 2009. We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with several Guest Designers who join us for a month or a week at a time. We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers. So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone? Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop? We
Evening, all! It's been a cold, dreich day, and I have been wrapping Christmas presents! With some music on in the background it's a very soothing activity. They will be delivered this weekend along with cards for the neighbours, and then all that remains is to shop for the Big Day. We will be on our own this year, which is sad, but we will be having facetime with the grandchildren, which is some consolation. I'd rather have a quiet Christmas this year, knowing I'll still be around to celebrate in style next year! Anyway, we have another Christmas challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Monochromatic Christmas. We're looking for shades of one colour on your creations! I went with blue. The stamp, which is perfect for a slimline card, is a clear stamp by Woodware Craft Collection. I can't find them online - are they still in business? I heat embossed the outline onto watercolour card and painted the image. I layered it onto blue patterned paper and b
